Lady Soverign was arrested last night @ The Beat Nightclub, Brisbane after getting into a brawl in the bathrooms and spitting in the face of a security guard. (check out what she was wearing! Photo taken minutes after she was released from The Watch House – hilarious).
After two brilliant lead up bands it’s almost time. The crowd begins to pack, shuffle and slide their way into position in front of the small stage. Liam Finn is setting up his equipment and pretending he can’t see us.

Without words four hairy men begin to play: one on bass, one on drums, the lead vocalist and another sporting guitars. At first I thought them a little rude, no ‘Hello Brisbane,’ or anything: I began having flashbacks to Eric Clapton last year and his lack of engagement with the crowd. However, after a few minutes I became utterly engulfed in their sound and forgot.
